2024 PWA WORLD TOUR EVENTS RECAP

The 2024 PWA World Tour season has come to an end, and the results for the FMX Racing team have been incredible.

With an impressive lineup of 6 event wins, two World titles, and two Vice-World titles.

Let’s take a look back at this incredible season.

Gran Canaria – Pozo

The Slalom Tour kicked off in Pozo with the Slalom-X discipline, known for its intense and challenging conditions. Pierre Mortefon (FRA-14) showed outstanding performance on his FMX Racing Invictus 98, securing four victories and never finishing below 3rd. He established a significant 15.9 point lead over Matteo Iachino, finishing the event with commanding dominance.

Fuerteventura – Sotavento

The second stop brought the action to Fuerteventura, where both the Foil Slalom and Slalom-X disciplines were contested. Once again, Pierre Mortefon was incredibly consistent on his Invictus 98, clinching FMX Racing's first World title of the season in Slalom-X.

Justine Lemeteyer (FRA-171) showed super consistent performance on the new discipline as well finishing 2nd right behind the legendary Sarah Quita.

Meanwhile, Daniele Benedetti (ITA-60) and Justine Lemeteyer (FRA-171) led the field in Foil Slalom, both securing event wins on their FMX Racing Hyperion 158’s. This was a fantastic start for both racers in the World title race. Notably absent was Johan Soe (DEN-37), who was competing in his first Olympics and missed this World Cup event.

Sylt – Germany

The Foil Slalom season continued in Sylt, Germany, known for its wavy conditions and rough shorebreak. FMX Racing continued to dominate as Justine Lemeteyer was unstoppable, winning 11 out of 13 eliminations, showcasing her skill and consistency throughout the event. In the men’s Johan Soe rejoined the tour and delivered a phenomenal performance, taking 1st place with three bullets and never finishing outside the top 3. Daniele Benedetti also showed great consistency, finishing 4th and positioning himself well for the final title fight in Japan.

Yokosuka – Japan

The season finale for the Foil Slalom took place in Yokosuka, Japan, where FMX Racing had two contenders in the title race. Johan Soe kept his winning momentum from Sylt, claiming another victory. Justine Lemeteyer had a standout performance, securing her first World title after an intense week of competition. Daniele Benedetti narrowly missed out on the World title but finished with a strong second place, capping off a remarkable season.

We’re super proud of this superb performance of the team!
